On Monday, March 7^th a meeting was conducted with Valerie Roddy, Stefanie Garrity, Ken Murray, Janet Nugent, Michael Spiller, and President Perry (AFT Healthcare- Maryland) to discuss the organizational structure of DDA and its financial business processes. The changes that began Monday will clearly delineate organizational roles and responsibilities within the centralized offices and the regional offices; align the duties of each unit so that there are clear lines of authority and responsibility; establish the framework for a new organizational culture; and enable more effective business processes. The changes will not involve layoffs, but may involve some employee retraining.  Your Union will continue to monitor and work with DHMH to make sure that your rights and job are protected.
