Agreement Ratified
We are notifying members of Units E and G that the tentative agreement between MPEC, AFT Healthcare-MD, and the State of Maryland has been ratified.

Members of our locals celebrate the holidays in many ways. On Friday, December 5th, members of the City Union of Baltimore gathered for their annual holiday party and program at the IBEW Local 24 Union Hall in Baltimore.
MOU with State for 2015-2017
AFT Healthcare-MD, AFT, AFL-CIO Local #5197 and the State of Maryland have concluded negotiations for a three year (2015-2017) successor agreement to the 2014-2015 MOU.
Justice For All March #justice4all
AFT is joining with the National Action Network for their Justice for All March #justice4all. Saturday, Dec. 13th, 2014. AFT-Maryland will be providing BUS TRANSPORTATION FROM BALTIMORE. See below for details.

Please be aware that 2015 Open Enrollment for Health Benefits runs from Oct. 15 through Nov. 14, 2014. Changes made during Open Enrollment are effective January 1, 2015.

The race for Maryland’s next Governor is down to its last few days, and we’re asking for one more push to help us Get Out the Vote. Come out this weekend to help us!
This Saturday, from 10am-2pm, come to the AFT-Maryland Headquarters (5800 Metro Drive, Baltimore, Maryland, 21215) for an afternoon of knocking on fellow union members’ doors to encourage them to vote. We will fan out in teams to key locations in Baltimore City and Baltimore County to help get out the vote!
