Attention Healthcare workers! On Friday, May 5th, join the fight for safe and effective nurse to patient ratios! #NursesTakeDC is a nurse-driven movement to make safe nurse to patient ratios a reality for all nurses in the United States. This year, nurses will gather in Washington, DC for a National Rally to raise public awareness regarding the importance of safe nurse-to-patient ratios and to support pending legislation.
The AFT Healthcare-Maryland and the Maryland Professional Employees Council (MPEC) locals were in Annapolis on Monday, March 20th to once again lobby delegates and senators on important issues affecting state workers. The membership turned out in an effort to be their own advocates on important issues.
On Saturday, March 25, 2017 join us for a day of workshops focused on helping women take charge of their finances and plan for their futures.

Members, staff, and leadership met with delegates and senators of the General Assembly to ensure they remember all of the indispensable services state employees provide for Marylanders.
